Healthy Living Fortnight

Our Healthy Living Fortnight proved to be a super success. Despite the cold weather, we had our Daybreak Dance every morning of the first week. It was wonderful to see over 200 children in attendance on one of the mornings. Some great dance moves were being performed by both pupils and teachers.

All children had the opportunity to participate in our Sponsored Judo Obstacle Course with Stephen Beattie. The feedback from this event has been extremely positive and every child left the assembly hall with a smile on their face. Some children even took the chance to perform Judo moves on their teachers! Special thanks to Stephen who willingly helped on the day. Within classes we have been continuing to broaden our understanding of healthy eating and what constitutes a healthy mind and body. A visit from the Dairy Council to P5 and P6 helped to strengthen this message. We hope that our children will continue to eat healthily and exercise daily. Well done to everyone for all their efforts during the fortnight and to Mrs Houston for organising the events.

We would like to thank everyone for their sponsorship money and to date we have over £2300 with more money still to come in.
